Tier 1 Coloured Pencil Portraits Online

I thought this was wonderful and enjoyed it even more than being in an actual classroom . I felt relaxed and found the pace perfect . I found it helpful to follow along with the book and add notes in my copy . Thank you Ann .

Amazing experience for me as a newcomer to colored pencil

While I have all of Ann's books, reading is one thing, but being to watch her, and follow along has given me a jumpstart of 6-12 months of trying all this out on my own. What was the best surprise for me was that she took the time to provide individual feedback based on us sending her a snapshot at various points. If you are a beginner, and get a chance to take this class, you will find it invaluable!

Color pencil instruction with Ann via Zoom a fun, fantastic experience!

While I have attended many of Ann’s workshops, this was my first online, two-day, via Zoom, workshop with her. It was a fantastic experience! The supply list and webinar overview were provided in advance so there was adequate time to gather all materials and have the line drawing prepared and “ready to go” at the beginning of the class (after instructional practice exercises before each section of the drawing). I very much liked this webinar format - same awesome instruction in the comfort of my own art room at a very reasonable price. There were art rooms/art spaces from across the United States and around the world together this weekend for the love of art and color pencil. Ann still guided students as she always wonderfully does in a regular classroom setting, by looking at the work of students in photos sent to her via text message. Students posed questions by raising their electronic hands, posting questions or comments in the chat room, and unmuting as needed for direct comments or questions. Ann provided each attendee with feedback regarding their successes and areas of opportunity for improving. Thank you Ann for bringing this class format, your subject knowledge, and your friendly, fun teaching style to the world this weekend.

Zoom workshops are my new fav!

Fantastic workshop! I attend a lot of workshops, about a dozen so far over the past couple of years. I gotta say that I believe Zoom workshops are the way to go! ...at least that was the case with the amazing Ann!! I have tried to understand her skin techniques in the past, and just couldn't quite grasp it. I think, with the ability to be in the comfort of my own environment and no distractions, I was able to comprehend things significantly better. I finally get it! I can't get my skin tones as smooth as Ann's, but I finally now understand how!! Ann is so sweet and gracious, as she explained to the class that she's been doing this for 30 years, so our efforts likely wouldn't be like hers. We need more practice. :) Ann is an incredible teacher, so being able to just attend her workshop (including via Zoom) is fabulous! Everything was so well organized too, with all the material provided as soon as I registered. The class ran perfectly! For the second day, though, I woke up with a bad headache... If this had been an in-person class, I'm not sure I could have attended. It would have been majorly disappointing. Since it was via Zoom, I just made sure my mic and camera were off, and followed along best I could. What a lovely way to take a class!! I was in my pajamas, and even in bed, sipping tea, the first part of the class... There wasn't the need to cart things around to attend somewhere, and I had everything I needed - - - included an awesome teacher, right at home! As the workshop progressed, I chose to not submit my WIPs because I had gotten behind. I really liked that flexibility, to be able to decide to participate or not! Throughout the workshop, Ann was delightful and I learned a lot!! Now, I just need to finish up the portrait! I'll also take more Zoom workshops, if offered, without hesitation. The convenience can't be beat! I have already signed up for two of Amy Lindenberger's Zoom workshops via Annkullberg.com - should so great!! I can't wait!

Online workshop

It was my first online workshop. I was looking forward to it even if I was a little nervous about the connection or this Zoom platform. The workshop tranformed my two regular days in two rich and passionate days. Because Ann is passionate and generous so her teaching has such a fresh style that I am thinking to take it again. Surely I will jump on when she will be offering another workshop. Thank you Ann
