Reviews for the 2018 COLOR Magazine Collection Book:
"Love! Love! Love! Pictures, technique tips, info about artists all combine to make a great magazine. I chose the PDF version so I can peruse the magazines anytime, any place on any of my devices."

"COLOR Magazine 2018 is just right for my needs, a perfect introduction to the finer qualities of this (new to me) medium. Along with informative text, there are full color detailed images by which I can see the potential of color pencil art."
— William C.
"The book arrived in a week's time and was so well packed to preserve the pristine quality of the book. Was very impressed with how the 2018 year of issues had been compiled into a book. I am still reading through the 12 months and enjoying it immensely. A very good quality publication and I love having it in a book form for the year."
— Emoryette M.

I have a number of Ann’s printed books but this was my first digital purchase made after trying the sample copy. The sample was only a single issue and while the content was excellent I found trying to follow the cat tutorial pretty hard going on my iPad because there was no quick navigation that would allow me to refer back to the main reference photo without flicking through the pages which obviously would take me away from the page containing the instructions I was following. Sadly the years supply multiplies that problem 12 times because there is no way on the iPad to quickly navigate to a specific issue so for example if I wanted to work on a tutorial in issue 12 I would have to wade through the material in the earlier issues first which is a monsterous task and would need to be done repeatedly if I couldn’t complete the tutorial in a single sitting. Whenever I have worked through large pdf files in the past they have come with an index and navigation tools so you can quickly find a specific item, the years copy of the color magazine doesn’t do that which I think is a mistake as it will put many readers off. So while the content is very good, I don’t think I will get the benefits of my purchase because the format supplied is just to unwieldy. Sorry Ann I love your work but this needs an effective navigation system to be of use and the version I received didn’t have that.
I enjoy my digital subscription to COLOR magazine — and love the convenience of reading it every month on my iPad, not to mention the wonderful bonus material offered to digital subscribers. However — nothing beats actually holding the pages in your hands, so purchasing the bound (and indexed) 12 month collection was a “no-brainer” — and made even better with selected artworks from the COLOR 20th Anniversary Member Show interspersed throughout. This is a quality publication!
Love the layout and photos! I like to have a print copy to refer to.
I had a hard time downloading it and ended up getting a refund. I tried at work and at home on 2 different devices and the lady was very helpful. I am hoping that I can get a hard copy maybe. Looking for suggestions if any! Thank you for all your help!
I like to know what other artists use for their surface.
