This Jelly Bean class with Peggy focuses on rendering the human mouth. The eyes in a portrait can easily generate the most focus, but mouths are so difficult.  Where do they end?  Where do they start? And mouths can be almost as expressive as eyes are! Discover how applying strong values enhances a sculpted, multi-dimensional realism to a portrait, while unique choices of translucent color apply the finishing touch.

So sit back and watch this demo for secrets on drawing the human mouth to its fullest potential!

You'll learn how to:
• Render a variety of values on the mouth for a strong, chiseled construction, while avoiding a harsh look.
• Render the area outside the mouth for critical realism and expression.
• Peggy's method that starts with strong, clear values and follows with color, and how it advances the look of realism.

About Peggy: Peggy is an award-winning CP fine artist, judge, instructor, and director of national and international workshops. Her original art has been displayed in galleries, museums, and collected nation-wide. Her printed art images are also found in books, book covers, magazines, and editorial publications.

Small projects or single topics that deserve a bit of delving into, Jelly Beans will enhance your skill set and knowledge base in a fun, quick fashion, all from the comfort of your own home. Scheduled on both weekdays and weekends, we hope to accommodate every schedule.
