This Jelly Bean class with Peggy focuses on rendering the human nose. The eyes in a portrait can easily generate the most focus, whereas the nose usually takes only a supporting role. Giving enough attention to features other than the eyes can only add to the balance and realistic nature of the portrait. You'll discover how applying strong values enhance a sculpted, multi-dimensional realism to a portrait, while using unique choices of translucent color for the finishing touch.

You'll learn how to:
• Render a variety of values on the nose for a strong, chiseled construction, while avoiding a harsh look.
• Render the area outside the nose for a natural blend to the less protruding areas of the face.
• Peggy's method that starts with strong, clear values and follows with color, and how it advances the look of realism.

About Peggy: Peggy is an award-winning CP fine artist, judge, instructor, and director of national and international workshops. Her original art has been displayed in galleries, museums, and collected nation-wide. Her printed art images are also found in books, book covers, magazines, and editorial publications.
