Cat Colored Pencil Project Kit

I have been attending art school weekly since I retired, focusing on colored pencil and oils. I thought this kit would be a good project during this time when my school is closed and I am isolated at home. I like how the kit is laid out, from the supply list thru the step-by-step directions. I learned a few new techniques for working with Prismacolor pencils (I usually use Faber-Castell). I did find it challenging when the directions asked, in several steps, to color the entire figure in one color (as the base). My preference is to work in smaller sections. There were several steps which were a bit unclear, but I was able to figure it out. Otherwise, a fun kit. I am reasonably happy with the results.

Took me three tries

I would never in a million years have thought to underpaint the cat with grey and beige. I learned so much with this tutorial. But it did take me three drawings to get the white fur looking somewhat decent. Each time I repeated the process, I understood a little more.
