Learn a variety of pencil strokes and techniques to paint soft, wispy feathers, realistic little eyes and beaks, and natural wood with colored pencils. Cynthia will take you to the next skill level as she teaches you how to transition a colored pencil drawing into a fully saturated painting during this enjoyable two-day Pajama Class.

In this workshop you’ll learn how to:

Paint realistic textures and feather detail of two stunning cardinals with blending and burnishing techniques
Employ a full spectrum of values to create the peeling bark of a birch branch
Establish a smooth and flattering background with colored surfaces

About Cynthia Knox, CPSA: Cynthia is an award-winning professional colored pencil and graphite artist, and the author of 16 art instructional books. She teaches art workshops in the United States and abroad, as well as on cruises, on Craftsy.com, and in Zoom classes for Ann Kullberg. She is a signature member of the Colored Pencil Society of America, a juried member of the International Guild of Realism, and a commissioned portrait artist.

What you need to know:

On the day of the workshop, just before 8 am Pacific time, click on the link to enter the classroom.
As Cynthia demos in class, you'll follow along with the drawing.
During the live workshop, feel free to ask Cynthia questions.
4-5 days after the workshop concludes, you'll receive a link to a video recording of the entire workshop.
