Patience needed

This was my first still life, and the tutorial was excellent. I found it difficult trying to get the background smooth. I really enjoyed painting the vase and cup, and found the procedure very relaxing.i rushed the flowers because I was losing patience with the project. After 16 hours spent getting to the flower section, I’m afraid I just didnt have Cynthia’s staying power, to complete the last numerous layers on the flowers. I loved this tutorial, and I’m in awe of the artist. I need to learn how to choose the colours , I think that is fascinating, and beyond me at the moment.

It was fun

To try it out I made it smaller (20 x 20 cm).and I left the cup out. It was quite a lot of work, but I loved drawing this. I like the smoothness it gets (like an oilpainting). I am quite happy with rhe result. A very good tutorial...!
