Sweet Temptations Pajama Class with Paco Martin

Paco Martin is an incredible artist and his willingness to share his creativity was wonderful. He uses some really creative techniques and sharing them in this class was a great opportunity to learn something new.

Our class on drawing realistic colored art drawings was fabulous! We were provided with a 31 page instruction booklet prior to the class so we could read through it and have some idea of what we needed and what we could expect of the class. I had time to order "Caballo" paper before the class, but had I not received it, we already had a suggestion to use Bristol velum paper. Paco gave excellent instructions and he was exceptionally patient as he listened to our suggestions about slowing down when we didn't understand something.. Since I know it is impossible to provide us with time to totally finish a product, I use my class as a prep for my real finished drawing which will be on another piece of paper.. I take notes on my practice sheets, and screen shots so I will be ready to complete my art work. Paco showered us with techniques which we could use in our future drawings. He explained how we could begin our black background as we worked on the "Honey Spoon". and correct the colored as the drawing evolves. I was especially concerned about the use of the stencil, but h made it o easy. Even at the end of the class he gave us more ideas to make our work better, even if a realistic drawing may take 50 hours to complete, it will be worth it!
