Pajama classes are better than books, better than tutorials and tons better than endlessly watching youtube videos. Pajama Classes are live. You can ask questions. You get answers! And feedback! Wow! It’s almost like a real live workshop, only without having to pack and unpack all your supplies.
About Carrie:
Carrie L. Lewis has been painting and drawing for over 40 years. Her interest in art began very early, with parents providing crayons and paper. She sold her first horse portrait at the age of seventeen and has been creating beautifully detailed portraits of horses set in luscious landscapes for clients all over the United States ever since.
I wasn’t able to join in live but the material and her teaching skills are top notch! I can’t wait to see more from her and her wonderful methods! Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us!
Challenging, rewarding and fun!The concept of a green underdrawing (under painting?) was new to me - it was well explained and very interesting. I will use it with some of my future drawings Carrie’s PDF instructions are thorough and well detailed. And I appreciated her helpful feedback on my drawing along the way.
Great class! 5 star! Very detailed and spread out over several weeks which made the class very relaxing for me and I never felt behind as I had a week or two to refine what we were working on. Much better pace than longer classes. Loved how Carrie was open and honest about mistakes and how to correct them, things she has learned in her journey, and overall generosity of tips and techniques. Will take more from her in the future!
This class was well planned, well documented and well taught. Carrie’s style of teaching is accessible and friendly, and she is a fabulous artist. I particularly appreciate the videos and workbooks for each session and other printable documents to describe how to complete the drawing for this course. It has been a long time since I have done any drawing (just retired!) and I know I will be going back to the recorded materials and downloadable documents again and again over the next few months. There were attendees of all levels in the class, and some excellent questions that came up which Carrie answered and I’m sure were helpful to all attendees. I also particularly the posts from students showing their progress on the drawings week to week, and Carrie’s helpful comments to help guide each attendee’s progress - great help for me, as a beginner in colored pencil art.
Carrie has so much experience with colored pencils and a great way of imparting a lot of knowledge! I learned new techniques and many helpful tips that will carry over to all my drawing. I usually draw animals and really appreciated all the methods Carrie uses to show the details that help them look three dimensional and alive on the page. I really enjoyed this class!
