I have been searching over and over again for books on watercolor colored pencils. There are very few of these books and most of them lack the detail required to learn the techniques. I was so desperate that I started buying watercolor paint books for techniques. But it is still not really applicable to colored pencils. At last, I found this gem of a book. From the first demonstration I have learned something I just did not know. Essentially this is plea to Ann Kullberg, to please add more tutorials (especially in-depth) using watercolor colored pencils and paper. At the moment I am practicing my skills with tutorials meant for traditional colored pencils, turning them into watercolor paintings.
I haven't tried any of the demo's yet but have ordered the paper and am ready to go. This book has clear instruction and great reference photos. I'm excited to start.
I love the book as yet I haven't done any work from it, but am looking forward to doing some. One regret I didn't buy the print version. May be at a later date. but I do love the book and all the good advice in it from how to make samples of watercolour pencils which is a good idea and is a must do to actually doing a picture. Love it.
Wonderful, glad to hear Doreen. Please reach out to email@example.com when/if you decide to get a print copy - since you've already order digital we can give you a bit of a discount. :)
I live in a small town. I do not have access to teachers of color pencil techniques. This book has wonderful information. It is easy to understand. The step by step process is an affective tool. I read it cover to cover first and now am working my way through applying the techniques where appropriate in my work.
Thank you for the wonderful review, Lynn!
