Highly detailed instructions for every step, including the pressure you should use, how sharp a point to use, etc
Emphasis on the why of the particular technique, rather than just the "what", which is by far the best kind of instruction. You'll find no clearer or more thorough colored pencil instruction online.
Note: Stonehenge drawing paper not included. (Order pre-cut sheets from the Extras tab above)
This was my first still life, and the tutorial was excellent. I found it difficult trying to get the background smooth. I really enjoyed painting the vase and cup, and found the procedure very relaxing.i rushed the flowers because I was losing patience with the project. After 16 hours spent getting to the flower section, I’m afraid I just didnt have Cynthia’s staying power, to complete the last numerous layers on the flowers. I loved this tutorial, and I’m in awe of the artist. I need to learn how to choose the colours , I think that is fascinating, and beyond me at the moment.
Haven’t completed yet, but can’t wait!
I bought this tutorial for my wife and she is new to coloring and art in general. She absolutely loves it and found the steps clear and easy to follow. She copied the picture freehand into her sketchpad rather than printing it out and we are both happy with the way it turned out. We strongly recommend this to other beginners!
