Gina's online Workshop was one of the best learning experiences for me! Not only is Gina a gifted artist, but she's also an excellent teacher and presenter. She was so well prepared! Having taught adults to use legal-industry-specific software, I know the value of a well-preared class. Gina was open to questions and answered them all effectively. I am also a dog portrait artists who uses mainly colored pencils, so this class was particularly meaningful for me. At the end of the session, I help Loki (my male Dachshund) next to the camera so everyone could meet him. If it works, I'm attaching a photo of the portrait I did of Loki -- in colored pencil on black paper. (It looks like I was unable to upload the photos.) Thanks again for this enlightening workshop!
Thank you so much, Barbara! I got your artwork of Loki uploaded for you! :-)
Having done colored pencil for over 20 years, I was happily surprised with all the new techniques I learned from Gina’ s class on drawing dogs on Pastel mats. Not only am I now armed with new ways to work on pastel mats but I feel more confident with creating life-like digs. I am eager to try them all from special strokes for drawing dog hair to the importance of creating a value study before starting your final piece. I would recommend this class to anyone interested in drawing dogs in colored pencil on pastel mat.
What a great class. It was well thought out and presented very clearly. The examples provided were useful and helped me to understand the unique characteristics of pastel mat.Thank you
