    Essential tips and tricks

Gretchen's class is essential for the artist looking to start working with drafting film. She gives so many tips and great advice based on her long experience using this surface. I took 3 pages of notes and intend to work on small samples to illustrate each and every part of her lesson alongside a replay of the video. A lot of information is shared in the short class.

    Great artist but just ok

Gretchen’s art work is gorgeous. She is a very talented artist. She spent about 35 minutes of the class setting up to do a project with several mistakes that had to be redone. I appreciated that she admitted her errors and not being able to find things even though she had prepared for 2 days. She spent much of the time on basic art/color pencil info and not as much on when and how to work on film. As far as 20 new tips, I guess I missed a few. I really did not learn anything new. She handled the 2 cameras well and was very willing to answer questions. Maybe today was just not her day.

Hi Heather, So sorry for your disappoint! The recording is from an earlier class, so it will be a better video to watch later. We would love to offer you another Jelly Bean class video in exchange, if you'd like? Please browse this link here: https://annkullberg.com/search?type=&q=jelly+bean+class - and just reply back with which other previously held Jelly Bean class you'd like instead. Thank you so much!Best Wishes,Priscilla Summersannkullberg.com

Gretchen’s Tips for working on drafting film

I picked up a great deal of knowledge for working on drafting film with colored pencils from Gretchen. She shared so much of her technique… a little confusing at the beginning but she explained away any questions later in the class. It was a fabulous demo & I highly recommend it if you’re curious as I was, on trying this new surface.
