What's a Jelly Bean Class?

Small, sweet and hard to stop at just one, Jelly Bean classes are our newest way to help you and your colored pencil life bloom. Each short, focused class is a mere 60 to 90 minutes, but you'll learn lessons you can use for a lifetime. Small projects or single topics that deserve a bit of delving into, Jelly Beans will enhance your skill set and knowledge base in a fun, quick fashion, all from the comfort of your own home. Scheduled on both weekdays and weekends, we hope to accommodate every schedule.

What you need to know:

You'll receive an email with a link to download a PDF with a supply list and Zoom instructions, as well as a link to the classroom.
On the day of the workshop, just before 10:30 am Pacific Time, click on the link to enter the classroom.
As Pearl demos in class, you'll follow along with your own drawing.
During the live workshop, feel free to ask questions.

Printer (for printing line drawing onto drawing paper)

Feather and fluff with Pearl

I very much enjoyed the Feather class. We worked on many techniques, including underpainting and blending, embossing, and using slice tools. She does a very nice job of explaining the techniques, and demonstrating how to do them. I have taken several classes with Pearl, and always have a good experience.

Learned New Skills!

I really enjoyed this Feather & Fluff class! I had never done an underpainting before, used an embossing tool or the slice tool. It's something that I've wanted to learn for awhile, and it is so nice that a class was focused on teaching these items. Pearl has a wonderful way of describing the techniques and I really appreciated her taking the time to explain in detail. In addition, when I asked for feedback on my art, she shared detailed constructive feedback that was very helpful! She's a great teacher and I would love to take another class from Pearl. I highly recommend her class!!
