Without doubt, a truly successful drawing starts with a clear, accurate line drawing. For portraits, it is absolutely crucial to have a perfect line drawing.

How do you create the best possible tracing? Ann explores seven very different ways to get a line drawing onto your drawing paper. With methods that are very low-tech to those that require a little technical know-how, she'll carefully explain and demonstrate each option.

But tracing is more than just logistics. A great tracing involves a certain way of seeing and thinking, which Ann will reveal. And no, it's most definitely not cheating, and Ann will discuss that, too!
