I love graphite drawing and using coloured pencils. This pack is an excellent introduction to anyone starting coloured pencil work. I want to pass on my love of working with coloured pencil and this pack gives me a good basis for all I need to convey to those who are curious about the techniques used. A very useful tool.
The video clarified some things about pressure numbers and about blending. It also pointed out a mistake I had made when transferring a drawing. I had used too much pressure and consequently embossed some of the drawing onto the target paper.
Great. Most useful
I cannot believe I spent $11.00 plus for this book. I thought it would have some line drawings and some instruction in it. All this very, very basic information is nothing that can't be learned from a few short videos on you-tube!! I am a beginner but please . . .this book is like first baby steps and everything I had already learned from you-tube. I was hoping for some lessons with a simple line drawing and tips on how to start the coloring process and even help with shading and being able to recognize highlights and how to treat them. Very disappointed!!!
Jean, it sounds like the actual JumpStart tutorials would be a much better fit for you. I'll be sending you store credit for $11, in a separate email, so you can try out one of the step-by-step lessons. You can find them at this link: https://annkullberg.com/collections/jumpstart. I think you'll find they are much closer to what you are looking for.
I’ve drawn graphite portraits, but this is my first attempt at CP. The techniques taught in this program are really helpful and the sample drawings are beautiful! I’m very pleased with my purchase and can’t wait to complete all of the lessons.
