Great Opportunity

This class was a great opportunity to learn a new technique which I never would have attempted on my own. Because it was a small subject matter , it was not overwhelming but certainly left one with a desire to attempt a larger project in the future. Mark is a super instructor who gives clear direction and lots of helpful tips.

Great demo of water soluble colored pencils

Short demo, but very informative. I tried to keep up but will watch again and take notes. Love the idea of using water instead of chemicals to get the blended results. Thanks Mark

Good Introduction to Watercolor Pencil

Mark Menendez gave a lot of good information in a short time. I started out trying to work along with him but decided that it would be more useful to watch carefully and take notes that I could refer to in the future. The cherries are a lovely small project that is teaching me a lot about blending the colors with water. I've done most of my colored pencil work using Prismacolor and Faber-Castell wax pencils without solvents. I've also done watercolor. This will be a nice blend of the two techniques.

Way to fast to keep up

The information is really good and Mark is a great instructor, but it was really fast paced and there was no way for me to keep up with the instruction. He said that it was just a demo of the watercolor pencils and made it seem like we weren't suppose to keep up. He finished the demo in about fifty minutes, so there was over thirty minutes leftover of instructional time. I wish that he had slowed down his instruction a bit and I it should be clearer in the sign up that it is just a demo so people don't buy the supplies. I do wish that the jelly bean classes came with a recording so that the information could be rewatched later again.

Hi Ally, Thank you very much for this feedback - it is greatly appreciated! And please accept our apologies on the confusion with these Jelly Bean classes. They are more of a "demo" in the fact that they are much shorter and focus on teaching a specific technique, a small project or single topic that deserve a bit of delving into, etc. We are now going to be sending the recording of the first session to all students. I do hope you received the email with the link to the video by now. If you have not, please email orders@annkullberg.com and we will get you taken care of. Best Wishes, Priscilla Summers annkullberg.com
