What a Treasure!!

I’m giving five stars for CP Treasures Volume 9, only because one hundred stars and an icon of me jumping up and down isn’t an option! Filled as this book is with one hundred of the best colored pencil pieces from around the world, every page is truly breathtaking. The new Grand Masters feature, showcasing the 23 artists who have been selected in at least five previous volumes, is a treasure within this Treasure, as is the fact that every one of the one hundred pieces included in the book is accompanied by two statements by the artist; “About the Piece” and “Surface Technique.” I enjoyed the stories behind the art, of course, but I consider the incredibly valuable hints, tips, and tricks that make up the “Technique” part to be gold! Actually, the entire book is pure gold!

Teaching is as rewarding as creating her art and she has led workshops in beginner colored pencil, character design, basic drawing skills and creativity.
