In this workshop Scott will show you how to take a complicated subject and break it down into sections. You'll begin with a value study, then gradually build up color and layers to bring each rock alive with sparkling light. You won’t believe how simple it is to create, and once you’re finished, you’ll be able to use these techniques on subjects of your own. 

SIMPLIFY IT

Seems complex, right? Where do you even begin to create the look of shimmering, wet stones? Scott will show you how to simplify the process beginning with the paper you choose.

After you've established the values, you'll learn Scott's method for adding color to make those rocks feel so realistic you'll want to reach into the drawing and touch them!

About Scott Krohn

Scott Krohn has been teaching art for more than 25 years and has exhibited his work nationally and internationally. His work has won numerous awards including the CPSA International Exhibition CIPPY Award for Best of Show.
