Jan Fagan lives and works as a full-time artist in the Pacific Northwest. Her heart and her art are happiest creating in her imaginative and illustrative style. Although she does love to create with colored pencils alone, she also enjoys mixing them with other mediums or trying them on unusual surfaces like copper and wood. Teaching is as rewarding as creating her art and she has led workshops in beginner colored pencil, character design, basic drawing skills and creativity. Her work has been featured in the Ann Kullberg magazine Color, CP Treasures as well as other publications.
What they are saying about Jan's last workshop...
"Great Hands On Instruction!
Jan gives clear and concise instructions so you can follow along and do each exercise with her. Lots of information on where to continue your colored pencil journey too. Looking forward to playing with each technique."
– Cecilia B.
"A Must Have For Beginners!
This workshop will teach a beginner everything they need to know to have fun drawing with colored pencils. It's full of interesting tips I wish I'd known from the word go instead of trudging through countless not-so-professional YouTube videos and Jan is a wonderfully clear and concise teacher."
– Francoise F.
"Jan Is An Excellent Teacher! She is skilled at checking-in with her students to see if they need clarification, additional info, alternative directions which fit their learning style and when they need cheering on. Her pace matches students needs-always is willing to answer questions or hear a student’s concern about their individual skill and able to move a class forward with new techniques.
Her love of art and real caring that her students learn and excel, is strongly woven throughout the class.
Thank you Jan!"
