Have you ever wanted to combine drawing realistic animals with a background? 

In this class wildlife artist Isobel Buckley will show you how to create the different features you need to draw your own realistic tiger capturing the regal nature of these magnificent animals.

The tiger, one of the most majestic, powerful animals to walk the planet, makes an ideal subject for learning how to draw different textures using white Stonehenge paper.

Learn how to create shiny eyes full of character, short smooth fur, long wavy thick fur and dark markings through layering and different pencil techniques, along with the all important aspect of how to create depth.

... And make it sparkle with a bokeh background!

New to backgrounds?  Isobel will show you how to create a fun colorful bokeh style background through combining colors and learning how to blend edges together to create a softer effect.

Whiskers and white hair can be very challenging to render with colored pencil on white paper. Learn how Isobel uses the Slice tool to create whiskers and to correct mistakes.

Isobel Buckley is an award winning colored pencil artist and qualified teacher from England with a passion for animals and nature. After achieving a fine arts degree, and teaching in schools for 15 years, she is now a full time artist specializing in wildlife art and online tuition.

After you register you'll receive a link to Padlet in the "How to Prepare" PDF. Padlet includes everything you need to download for class, including the Zoom link to the classroom, plus a line drawing and project reference photo. Be sure to complete the before-class

No problem! Classes are recorded and links to the recordings are sent to all students within a few days after class. (No refunds for cancellations or no-shows.)

You bet you can! Just as in in-person classes, most instructors will provide times for questions after they have explained a step.

Doesn't happen often, but if it does simply log in to Zoom again from the Padlet link in your "How to Prepare" PDF. If the problems are on the instructor's end, we will contact you as soon as possible via email to let you know how to proceed.

No problem! Your instructor will explain what is needed to finish and you'll also receive a link to a video recording of the class so you can get any instructions you missed. A step-by-step workbook of instructions for the entire project will be provided on Padlet for you to download. 

Our instructors are happy to answer your questions about the class project and will explain how to contact them for questions after class.
