About In-Depth Tutorials:

Created by master colored pencil artists, each In-Depth tutorial features 30+ steps and focuses on teaching you why and not just how the artist applies their technique. No book or video comes close to the amount of instruction in an In-Depth tutorial. Art instruction books typically contain 4-6 steps per demo. That just scratches the surface! With large images and 30 or more steps, In-Depth tutorials truly show you exactly how the artist works, making it easy to truly learn new colored pencil techniques and achieve success.

Note: Drawing paper and pencils not included. See images for complete supply list.

Complicated

I agree that instructions were very difficult to follow. I tried to follow till I got to owl’s body, then just worked on my own trying to follow the colored image picture. I still need to fine tune and straighten the beak.

Owl: in depth Colored pencil tutorial

Good instructions on colour use, blending, shading etc. but found instructions frustrating as were all over the place, jumping from one area to another. From the owl, to the tree and the background, then back to the owl etc. Whereas I started with the eyes, head then owl body and then the tree. I did not do a background as I used black Stonehenge paper. My coloured drawing of the owl turned out just as good as the tutorial artist’s drawing, using my own method and lot of my own colour choices.
