FAQ - Ann's Workshops

I'm really new to colored pencil.  Can I still take Ann's Portrait Workshop?
Absolutely!  All levels of participants are welcome. She often has a mix of newbies and pro's in class. In fact, she might even prefer newbies...since she doesn't have to "unlearn" them anything!

I have no art/drawing experience.  Can I still attend?
Sure!  Ann's workshop is about colored pencil technique, rather than drawing.  So everyone starts with a tracing of the same portrait.  No drawing experience required!

What can I expect from an Ann Kullberg Portrait Workshop?
Lots of instruction and lots of fun!  Everyone will work on the same portrait, with a reference photo and line drawing provided.  Ann does a great deal of demonstrating, so you'll follow along in a step-by-step fashion. Facial features, skin tones, hair, drawing sequence and color building will be emphasized.  Want more info?  Click here >

What supplies will I need for Ann's workshop?
Supply List here >

My daughter(niece/nephew/grandchild) is interested in taking your workshop. Do you have an age restriction?
Age14 and up are welcome!

Will you be teaching a workshop in my area soon?
All currently scheduled workshops are listed here.  Don't see a workshop in your area?  Bring Ann to you >

Will I be refunded if I cancel my registration?
Cancel within 4 weeks of the workshop to be refunded in full.  If it's closer than 4 weeks, you're welcome to apply your deposit toward a future workshop.

I've taken the Portraits I workshop and would love to attend a Portrait II class, but you don't have a lot of those scheduled.
If you've taken Ann's Portrait I workshop, you're always welcome to attend another Portrait I class, but work on your own portrait subject, with Ann's guidance.  It's like getting the best of both worlds - a refresher of the first class, while working on your own piece, as you would in a Part II Workshop!

How often does Ann hold Cruise Workshops?
Generally Ann schedules one Cruise Workshop per year - either in the spring or fall.  If you haven't been on one yet...you absolutely should. They are fantastic!  Cruise Workshop info here >
