Busy bee and beautiful flowers - take your colored pencil art to a whole new level with this tutorial.
Ever the experimenter, Karen Hull has developed an incredible technique for creating 3D paintings using colored pencils, drafting film and resin. By drawing on separate sheets of film and stacking them, you too can achieve this dreamy image that no one will believe is colored pencil!

I haven't gotten around to really checking this out yet, but as always it looks like another fantastic resource full of inspirational ideas.
I have been very pleased with all projects I have purchases. Looking forward to trying this.
I think and hope that this will prove worthwhile and get me back into colored pencil. At my age (75) I know that I may have missed some details of the description of this. If I did delete this post. Being a senior on limited fixed income every dollar makes a difference. I did not realize this is intended to be put between resin nor that when I asked locally for the film needed that I was going to get blank stares. I like the way the pencils lay down on the film but I’m a long way from being finished and will reserve my final review until finished. I would have liked to have seen an estimate - or a range - of the price of all materials not just the download. I’ve gotten a full set of Prismacolor over five years but forget adding all those others. $$$.
This demo was the most contrived and tedious process to achieve a look that can be done through simple drawing and burnishing. I found it the least user friendly technique, and the artist, who seems very accomplished, does not project confidence in her very complex project. Results were beautiful, but easier approaches achieve the same results.
