Step 9 - Rainbow Bird of Paradise
• With repeated touching, drafting film can pick up the oils from your skin, so always handle film by the edges.
• On a scale of 1-5 pressure, with 3 being normal writing pressure, use a 2 pressure for all steps unless otherwise noted. Lighter pressure allows you to apply more layers.
• Unless otherwise noted, a loop or scumbling stroke is used throughout.
STEP 9: Next we will work on the remaining leaves, which are darker. In order to get this darker color on the front, flip the film over to the BACK, and apply directional lines in DARK GREEN. These directional lines should follow the rib lines of the leaves. (Check the photo reference to see the direction of the rib lines.) On some leaves, where the rib lines are not clearly visible, apply the lines in the same direction as on the adjacent leaves.
