Actually, I was disappointed in the video 2 and 3. I thought it would discuss various skin tone and values rather than working on an actual profile portrait. I have can start skin tones using cream, light peach or deco pink but going forward with values and other skin tones not sure if going to dark too soon. Depending on the skin tone of the portrait there are many decision and I am not comfortable making. Perhaps I should have ordered a different series that would have given me more information. Please health.
After watching Portrait Video Series Part 2 I knew I just had to have part3. The video was, as usual, very informative and showing step by step the development of skin tones, which is exactly what I was struggling with. All of a sudden everything made sense. I had a small problem with download which was very quickly put to rights with an email, without any hassle at all. Thank you for a great educational tool.
I've just purchased the streaming video option of the Advanced Skin Tones. The whole process was simple and quick and I can access the video anytime on any of my computers...really useful! I've bought a number of products from Ann Kullberg and they have all been top quality. This video is no exception, Ann explains her methods really well (It's nice to hear her talking through the way she works, rather than just reading from one of her instruction books) which will help all levels of colour pencil artists improve their skin tones. The videos are really good value, and, if you don't already have it, I would also recommend getting the Portrait Tool Set to use along with them, it's a great tool! John Irvine
I am so pleased with the complete Portrait Video Series. I just recently purchased the 3rd video and it did not let me down. Ann does a wonderful job of teaching and explaining. The videos are clear with closeups so you can really see what she is demonstrating. I would love to attend one of Ann's workshops but until then this video series is an excellent alternative.
Love Ann for all my CP needs!
